Pentagonal Birdbath Glass Art Sculpture
How The PentaBloom came to be:
The PentaBloom was a custom design for a client that wanted to jazz up her backyard. She requested it fit in with the nature of her green space. While I knew green was going to be our main color, I couldn’t shake the color red from my mind. When the client started discussion her beliefs and passion for the five elements, I started to really feel the pentagon shape.
When I sat down to design this sculpture, I started with a pentagon and a star. Usually, I draw a few different designs to propose to the client but this project had me zoomed into this idea of green, red, five sides and five points. In no time, I drew the PentaBloom. With only a few minor adjustments, I felt confident and sent it to the client. She approved it immediately.

The PentaBloom is a tribute to the five elements: Spirit, Air, Earth, Water and Fire with its petagonal top “bloom” and pentagram-shaped base “leaves”. I wanted the colors to be from nature, the subtle greens with the bolder reds, to interact with the surrounding wildlife acting as water sanctuary for birds.
